STARS Theater Company’s 2018 Season opens with SEUSSICAL Jr, on Friday, January 5.  Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite characters spring to life in this delightful adaptation of the Dr. Seuss books loved for generations.  Performances are January 5-7 & 12-14 with Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30pm and Sunday shows at 3:00pm.  All performances will be at Scott Hall, located in the First United Methodist Church in Bedford, 1245 Bedford Rd. in Bedford.

Straight from the Jungle of Nool, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny Whos. Throughout his adventures, Horton must protect his new friend JoJo and the family of Whos, while he guards an abandoned egg left in his care by Mayzie La Bird.  The endearing Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in her friend Horton.   The magic of imagination, friendship, and loyalty emerge triumphant!

Heading up the cast is Southlake resident, Coleman Hahn as the Cat in the Hat.  Horton the loveable elephant is played by Will Meagher of Southake and his friend Jojo is played by Lydia Verity also of Southlake.  Gertrude and Mayzie are portrayed by Lauren Raymond of Grand Prairie and Amber Meagher of Southlake.  The production is directed by Lu Anne Tyson of Hurst with choreography by Sue Hurst and vocal direction by Paula-Beth Toller of Arlington.

Make plans to bring the kids and attend SEUSSICAL JR.  Like all STARS Theater Company productions, it is great entertainment for the entire family.  Mark your calendars for January 5-7 & 12-14.  Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children under 12.  Call 817-925-1430 or get tickets online at www.STARSTheaterCompany.org.
