STARS Theater Company announces a season of comedy for local young people. Fall auditions are scheduled for Saturday, August 19 at the Community Building, First United Methodist Church in Bedford, 2012 Shady Brook, Bedford.
Ages 8-12 audition for THE ELVES AND THE SHOEMAKER, THE MUSICAL, 9:00am-noon.
Teenagers audition for SEUSSICAL Jr, 12:30pm-4:30pm
Ages 8-12 will enjoy the upbeat retelling of the old classic tale. ELVES AND THE SHOEMAKER, THE MUSICAL is packed with fun roles for kids including the kooky elves; Mortz, Schwartz, Hazel, Gracie, and Studebaker, along with a town of quirky characters bringing magic to the Lockhardt’s shoe shop.
Teen actors will have a blast as Dr. Seuss' best-loved characters collide in the unforgettable musical caper, SEUSSICAL, Jr. Characters include: Cat In The Hat, Horton, Gertrude, Mayzie, young Jojo, the Whos, and a host of characters in the Jungle of Nool.
A special audition class for both productions will be Saturday, August 5, 10am-2pm. Interested students are welcome to attend. Audition materials will be available at the class. For more information call 817-925-1430.
Performances for ELVES AND THE SHOEMAKER, THE MUSICAL are scheduled for December 1-3. Performances for SEUSSICAL, Jr are scheduled for Jan 5-7 & 12-14. STARS is an educational theater and all roles will be played by young people. Rehearsals are the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month and tuition is $85 per month.
