FEE FI FO FUM”is wonderful family entertainment with a simple message.  Good can overcoming evil.  Jack’s optimistic attitude leads him to believe in the possibilities in life and as the song says, “Good things are bound to happen.”

The poor village is suffering at the hands of the evil giant that lives up in the clouds. He’s kidnapped their queen and the village must find enough gold to help pay her ransom.  To save their home, Jack has to sell their only thing of value, their cow, Miss Priss.  A mysterious stranger buys the cow for five magic beans.  After the beans are tossed away, an amazing giant beanstalk appears. Jack climbs up the beanstalk and into the castle where he not only fights Gogmagog, the giant, but a malicious troll as well.  In the end, the cow is returned, the chicken learns how to lay golden eggs and the good life returns to the kingdom.

Several local young people are featured in the production.  Jack is played by Arlington resident, Kristina Miller, and the nasty Giant is portrayed by Neil Tucker from North Richland Hills.  Jack’s mother and sister are played by Carson Hawkins of Euless, and Emma Mann of Southlake.  The Giant’ kooky help is played by Emmy Irvin of Euless, Allie Graybeal of Joshua, and Rhiana Bullock of North Richland Hills.  Sheriff Dum Dum and The Troll are played by Carolina Paredes of Grapevine and Emerson Hodges of Keller.  Rounding out the cast are Princes Tulip and the Queen played by Mia Neeley of Haltom City and Ella Hutchens of Grapevine.  The cow and chicken are played by Caitlin and Greg Breslin of Trophy Club.  Daisy is played by Kaya Bullock of North Richland Hills, and the Mysterious Bean Seller is played by Kamryn Vucina of Keller.

The production is directed by Lu Anne Tyson of Hurst with choreography by Sue Hurst of Grapevine and vocal direction by Vicki Keller of Arlington.  The production is great for the entire family.  Pack up the kids and head to Bedford for this lighthearted retelling of the classic tale.  FEE FI FO FUM runs one weekend only at Scott Hall located at the First United Methodist Church in Bedford, 1245 Bedford Rd. in Bedford.  For information call 817-925-1430, or visit the website at www.starstheatercompany.org
