Retro Madness Celebrates a Decade of Nostalgia with 10th Anniversary Party

Free event to take place in Retro Plaza

Fort Worth, TX [April 29, 2024] — Retro Madness, the beloved haven for vintage toy and game enthusiasts, announced today it will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Saturday, May 18, 2024, with a huge party in Bedford’s Retro Plaza. The event will be co-hosted with neighboring shops Horror FreakOddits, and The Freak

The milestone celebration invites attendees to immerse themselves in retro gaming and toy culture, enjoy live music performances, meet special guests, and indulge in free food while exploring a variety of vendor booths offering a diverse range of retro-inspired merchandise. Notable guests include renowned toy reviewer and collector, Pixel Dan, Billy and Jay from the hit YouTube series “The Game Chasers”, NARC, and Cincy Nerd.

“We are incredibly grateful to the local community and our loyal customers for their support over the past decade,” said Daniel Chamberlin, founder. “This will be the biggest even Retro Madness has ever done and is our way of saying thank you and celebrating a decade of the nostalgia that brings us all together.”

Chamberlin co-founded Retro Madness with Craig Roberts in 2014 while working as repair technicians for GameStop. They wanted to escape the time clock and corporate politics and carve out their own path. With almost no startup capital, they began repairing and selling arcade cabinets and retro games and six months later they opened the doors to their first brick and mortar store. After about three years, Roberts moved on to do other great things like his successful YouTube channel (NARC) and independent movie (Retro Freaks) but remains a regular in the stores.

Retro Madness has grown from a small 500 square foot location in Hurst to three locations in Bedford, Arlington and Fort Worth that carry tens of thousands of items, each with its own unique selection of inventory including well known vintage toys like original Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and G.I. Joe action figures, retro gaming items like Nintendo consoles, and classic games such as Mario Bros and Zelda. The most unique and currently expensive item is a life-sized Incredible Hulk statue that resides at the Fort Worth store.

The Retro Madness 10th Anniversary Party is open to retro enthusiasts, gaming aficionados, families, and individuals of all ages.
