Van Cliburn Concert Featuring Tomoki Sakata

The Old Bedford School is proud to announce a Van Cliburn concert featuring Tomoki Sakata on September 12 at 7 p.m.

There will be a wine and cheese reception at 6:30p.m. and a meet and greet with Tomoki Sakata following the performance. 

The 19 year-old Japanese pianist Tomoki Sakata plays with color and expressivity and it earned him a place among the top six finalists during the 2013 Cliburn Competition.  As the youngest competitor he received attention for his youthful overabundance of talent and he has toured in Europe, Japan and Morocco.  Sakata has performed as a soloist with the Fort Worth Symphony, Hamamatsu Symphony, Lublin Philharmonic, and Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestras.
