On Saturday Sep 28 the Grand Finale for the HEB Marching Contest at Pennington Field in Bedford, TX will be a performance by “The Commandant’s Own” - The United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps (- Marine Barracks, Washington D.C.). The marching contest finals begin at 7:15pm. The Corps steps-off at 10:30pm.

Active military in uniform will receive free admission with ID.

Please alert the Servicewomen, Servicemen, Veterans, families and patriots in your communities to this information. The Corps will also be appearing at the State Fair of Texas through Oct 6, but it may be more convenient for some fans to see them at Pennington Field in Bedford on Sep 28.

The HEB Marching Contest will feature 24 Texas high-school marching bands, performing between 9:45am-4:45pm. 10 bands advance to Finals, which opens at 7:15pm with our National Anthem, sung by the HEB ISD Elementary Honor Choir, and closes with a Grand Finale performance by “The Commandant’s Own” - The United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps at 10:30pm, followed by Drum Major retreat and awards.

Among the day’s high-school bands are 12 former Bands Of America (BOA) Regional-finalists, 10 UIL Texas State-finalists, 7 BOA Class-champions, 4 BOA Grand National Finalists and 3 UIL Texas State Champions.

All-day admission is $15 (seniors $10, children 1-6 free). Finals-only admission is $10 (seniors $8, children 1-6 free). Active military in uniform receive free admission with ID.
