Arts Council Northeast and the City of Watauga are pleased to welcome Michael Hix & the Holla for a concert on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Capp Smith Park Amphitheatre, 5800 Robin Dr.

Michael Hix is a Pop/Rock & Soul Singer, Producer, Actor, and Emcee.  For the past 15 years, Michael has been entertaining audiences all across the country.  His unique style, confident swagger, and charismatic personality has critics from all over comparing him to entertainers such as Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Dean Martin, Johnny Carson, Steve Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr (just to name a few).  His moves are smooth, his wit is charming, yet his presence is humble. He has performed with acts such as Cher, Bret Michaels, Rick Springfield, Eddie Money, Loverboy, Sara Evans, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Sugar Ray, and several others. Michael has also lent his voice to numerous radio commercials, audiobooks, and several character voices for animated feature films.  He has performed on LIVE, National Television, Public Broadcasts, and in Feature Films. Michael, along with his band The Holla, provides an exciting, high-energy variety show, that makes audiences of all ages want to come back for more. During the show, you’ll see and hear your favorite hits performed like never before. He brings crowds to their feet and always leaves an audience wanting more.  He is one of the fastest rising entertainers in the country and his following grows with each performance.  He is genuine, moral, and remains humble to the gifts that the Lord has blessed him with.

Through the MasterWorks Series, Arts Council Northeast and the City of Watauga present free performances on selected evenings throughout the year. The MasterWorks Series is designed to offer a variety of quality family entertainment to the community by utilizing the talent of local, regional, and national artists.
