The North Texas Mean Green forced five SMU Mustangs turnovers and rushed for 245 yards in a 43-6 victory in the team’s home opener at Apogee Stadium on the campus of UNT Sep. 6. After being beat by the University of Texas in Austin a week earlier the Mean Green needed to win this game. The Mustangs offence and defense both struggled a week after being blown out by Baylor. The Mean Green plays again at home on Thursday, Sept. 12 in their 1^st Conference USA game against Louisiana Tech.
