Southlake Arts Center announces partnership with Wishing Star Stage Company

The Southlake Arts Center, formerly known as Theatre of North Texas, announced today that it has partnered with Wishing Star Stage Company to provide educational experiences for young people. Wishing Star Stage Company Artistic Director, Joe Sturgeon, is a well-respected participant in the DFW theater community, having previously served as Resident Director and Director of Theater for Casa Manana in Fort Worth. The team at Wishing Star has worked with young people to engage and grow their talent for many years.

Wishing Star Stage Company will have a production season which will include educational opportunities throughout the year. The Southlake Arts Center will team with Wishing Star to provide summer camps for youth, including a teen acting intensive, Broadway musical camp, and theater tech camps for children who want to be involved in theater, but not on stage.

The Southlake Arts Center is a artistic venue that provides opportunities for students of all ages to cultivate their talent and to perform for audiences to gain experience. Both Southlake Arts Center and Wishing Star Stage Company are 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.
