Local residents have one more chance to see the sweetest show in town, WILLY WONKA.  STARS Theater Company will present the final performance of Roald Dahl's world-famous candy man at 3pm this Sunday at Legacy Church of Christ, 8801 Mid Cities Blvd in North Richland Hills.

The musical production is adapted from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder. The enchanting score includes songs such as “Pure Imagination”, Golden Age of Chocolate, and -of course- “The Candy Man”.  The famous candy maker, Willy Wonka, has hidden five golden tickets in candy bars all over the world and the winners will receive a lifetime supply of chocolate.  Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats: the fifth is a likeable young boy named Charlie Bucket.  The children must learn to follow factory rules... or suffer the consequences.

STARS’ production of WILLY WONKA stars several local young people.   Everyone’s favorite candy man, Willy Wonka, is brought to life by North Richland Hills resident, Neil Tucker.  Nicholas Martinez of Flower Mound takes on the role of Charlie Bucket; and the bratty kids, Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde, Veruca Salt, and Mike Teavee are played by Kaleb Rentschuler of Richland Hills, Mattie Stephens of Bedford, Catryna Little of Euless, and Carson Hawkins from Bedford.  The production is directed by Lu Anne Tyson of Hurst with vocal direction by Monica Dane of Grapevine and choreography is by Kellie Grant of North Richland Hills.  The Music Conductor is Dax Stokes from Denton.

STARS Theater Company’s production of WILLY WONKA is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight the whole family.  The final performance is Sunday, June 26 at 3pm at Legacy Church of Christ, 8801 Mid Cities Blvd in North Richland Hills   Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children.  For more information call 817-925-1430.
