Texas Harley's grand opening celebration is a three-day event. Grady Spencer & The Work headline the Saturday, April 30, event.

Everyone will be in Hog Heaven with Live Music, Kids’ Activities, Fireworks and MORE!

Adam Smith’s Texas Harley-Davidson in Bedford is kicking off the grand opening of its new 72,000-plus square-foot store with a massive three-day-long celebration Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1. Events include a three-day line-up of live bands, daring demonstrations, fireworks, great food and a Family Day. The events are FREE and open to the public. Texas Harley-Davidson is the number one store in Texas, and in the top ten in the nation, for the past two years.  The store is located at 1921 Shoalmont Road in Bedford.

The three-day grand opening celebration begins Friday afternoon, April 29, with live music at 1:00 p.m. with Dave Semans and the Hair Ballad Allstars, followed by cover band Memphis Soul from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  A butt sketch artist will be onsite 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Texefx Pinstriping will be onsite all weekend for custom pinstriping for everything from motorcycles to bicycle helmets. The Mohawk Guy (you have to see him to believe it!) will also be onsite all weekend.

Saturday, April 30, is an all-day event from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 p.m.  The day includes four live bands starting at 11:00 a.m.: Brian and Jeremy, Brandon Steadman, Joey Green and headliner Grady Spencer & and The Work. Daring demonstrations include motorcycle and go-cart “drill team” demonstrations by Shriners Hella Motor Patrol and Moslah Mystic Wheels and veterans from the organization 22 Kill will rappel from the roof of the building. Guests can participate in an Old West Quick Draw Challenge and even get a tattoo from Virtuoso Tattoo. Everyone who tours the store enters into a drawing for a Texas Motor Speedway driving experience (valued at more than $500). The day ends with a full fireworks show, heavy with orange and silver pyrotechnics.

Sunday, May 1, noon to 4:00 p.m. is Family Day.  Live music will be provided by School of Rock Fort Worth and School of Rock Southlake Dean’s List bands. Family Day also includes a Trick Cowboy, rock-climbing wall, Texas Harley-Davidson temporary tattoos (if you’re not ready for the real thing), face painters and games.

State fair-like concessions are available for purchase all weekend (everything from $1 hot dogs, corn dogs and nachos to $3 brisket sandwiches, funnel cakes and cheeseburgers). Beer is available for purchase Friday and Saturday evenings.

The new Texas Harley-Davidson, which sits on six acres, is larger than 90 percent of Harley-Davidson dealerships in the country. The $10 million-plus store has 40,000-plus-square-feet more than the previous site and two full showrooms, one located on the second level with the capacity to showcase more than 500 bikes. The dealership’s unique features include an interactive parts bar, the world’s largest Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield, an outdoor covered area for events and a ride-in service department.

The event is free and open to the public. Concessions and pinstriping are available for purchase. All programs and activities are subject to change due to weather. www.TexasHarley.com
